Landlords are entitled to a tax deduction whenever they drive anywhere for their rental activity. This includes driving costs incurred for rent collection, meeting your tenants to handle their problems and going to the hardware store to buy tools and materials for repairs.

Collect Documents
Before embarking on international travel, you should prepare all the documents you might need. Gather all items that could be useful in a foreign country. Of course you will carry the physical copies of many of these items with you, such as your passport and credit cards. However, due to threats like theft and natural disaster, you should also have an emergency action plan.
